Welcome to my dedication to Bradfords golden boys

I would like to thank the Official Terrorvision Website for use of this picture, even though they don't know about it! It's thiers anyway, I hope they don't sue me or anything...

Terrorvision are the gorgous Tony Wright on vocals, the amazing Mark Yates on guitar, the luvely Leigh Marklew on bass, the wonderfull Shutty (drums and the occasional Jo (sorry can't remember her last name) on keybourds.
Okay lets ask the vital question.
Why do I like terrorvision SO much I am prepared to call them my favourite band?
Well, I will tell you...
Mainly it's the music, fabulous music darlings, that combines metal, pop and indie - and more recently even dance into songs which are absolutely rocking - for want of a better word. AND WHO NEEDS ONE?
Also Terrorvision have a reputation for being a fantastic live band, the one gig I went to at St. Austell Waterfront was madder that a dog in a sweatshirt. It will admit it was a small venue but the band managed to get everybody bopping right up to the bar even though it was so hot and sweaty you could have boiled an egg.
I have talked to people who aren't great fans that have been to a Terrorvision gig and called it one of the best they've been to. This includes my mate who wasn't really a fan of Terrorvision, and not really that kind of music at all, that afterwards was singing the new songs for weeks. She's even mentioned that she's thinking of buying the new album when it comes out! Yay! Convert!
And speaking of new stuff Terrorvision got the whole of the Reading crowd (apparently - I wasn't there) singing "PARTY OVER HERE, F*** YOU OVER THERE" along to thier new song 'Friends and Family'

Another great thing about Terrorvision is the way they treat thier fans, especially those that frequent the Cyber Scum section of thier website. They regularly post messages letting us know whats going on or just to say 'hello'. I know a lot other bands do this but this isn't thier page is it? No.
Also at thier recent gig's around the country they dedicated one of thier new songs to the Cyber people "that come on our website and we talk to them" (in Tony's words - more or less). Which I know made me feel all warm and cuddly inside.

Anyway back to the music...
I had a mate once who said "I don't like Terrorvision because they are depressing" and I would now like to dispell this myth right away:
Take for instance thier three most sucsessful toons...
'Tequila' was a remix, i will admit that, and that would make it a bit more jolly than usual. However considering it was about alcohol - more precisely how tequila makes him happy. And the story behind it is a bit sad - but also hilarious. If your good I might tell it to you later...
Then there's 'Perserverance' wich although not something automatically associated with being merry, its most famous line was "Wales and Dolphins, Wales and Dolphins, Yeah!". So famous was this line that 'perserverance' became known as 'The wales and Dolphins song'. Even now I get people sayin "Terrorvision eh? I liked that wales and dolphins song..."
Last but not least there's 'Oblivian'. A song thats chorus contains "OOH-WOP BAH BAH OOH-WOP" can hardly be called depressing can it?
I rest my case. Terrorvision ARE NOT DEPRESSING!
